The Hazards of Buzzkill'aton

So I got away this weekend.I have to say it was probably the best thing I've done for myself in a while. Sometimes you just need to get away, head north into the woods and stay there until you're almost positive you have frost bite. It doesn't feel like an outdoorsy adventure until one or more of your toes feel like they're going to fall off when you take of your shoes, I always say.

In other news: New Decemberists Album! Rejoice!

And if you don't know The Decemberists, this is a good place to start: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK3Ce9md96g

Yeah Yeah... What?!

So one of my favorite bands from my college years (which I say like is was more then 8 months ago) just released a new single... and by all intensive purposes it takes some getting used to. My first retraction to it is essentially recorded in this comic. After repeat listens I've found it much more agreeable, thankfully. It's defiantly a departure from their early work I'll tell you that much, but you can check it out for your self here:

Also I decided to start writing the text into the strips again instead of adding through GIMP. Let me know what you think!

See you Monday!

Time Up! Time In! Who Watches the Watchmen?

Of those who have seen it, what did you think? Personally, I still have some reservations about certain aspects of the film, but the most part, I thought it was pretty good.

Spirit of the Radio... Broadcasting Television

Depending on what you're drinking, I'm sure you could enjoy some Tv on the Toaster as well, or at the very least, some Radio on the Blender.

TV on The Radio is sorta my thing right now as far a music obsessions go. That being said, I think this strip might exhaust all the material I have pertaining to them right now. It's sorta sad considering how much I actually listen to them.

My favorite performance of theirs so far is the one they did for Colbert about a month ago:
http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/218126/february-09-2009/tv-on-the-radio---dancing-choose

(If you want to watch the video you'll have to sit through a freakin' commercial first, just a head up =P)

To be perfectly honest, I'm sorta surprised at how big they're getting. It seems like every other time I turn on the Tv they're doing a guest spot or interview for someone. Not that I'm complaining though. I'm always happy see Indie bands get the recognition they deserve. Recognition that eludes far to many all to often. I just hope they don't get sassy and start talking like they're bigger then Jesus... Because from what I understand this Jesus fellow is pretty popular, and that kind of talk might be a little presumptuous at this point.

PALE SKIN PRIDE! Let's hear it for our nearly transparent brothers and sisters! Can I get a Woop Woop?!

I'm still outrageously ill but you can bet that won't stop me from going to see the Watchmen this weekend. Movie goers beware, for I bring with me to the theaters the gift of plague! Hizzah!

Technically more then a week, but still...
Oh lord, why have you forsaken your children!

Sorry about the late update again. I've been a little under the whether and it's made me pretty sluggish. It took me twice as long as it should have to pump out this comic. Right after I post it, I'm going back to bed. Bleh!
